We are proud to announce a new chapter in our journey in France.
As of this month, our subsidiary in the neighbouring country begins a key stage for our growth, with the transfer of Bianna France’s headquarters to Montpellier and the appointment of Alberto Hernández Minguito as the new General Manager of Bianna France.
Bianna has been operating in France since 2014, with headquarters in Bordeaux and later in Carcassonne, and has since developed important projects in the field of waste treatment.
This step reinforces our commitment to the French market, a territory in which we have been operating since 2014 and where we have developed reference projects in waste treatment and recovery.

A firm commitment to proximity and growth
We have chosen this strategic location for its excellent connections and its potential as an operational centre. The new offices – located at Henri Becquerel / 222 rue d’Odin – will house our technical and commercial team, and will allow us to offer a more agile, closer and professional service.
This move responds to a clear desire: to be closer to our customers, to improve the quality of our service and to expand our technical and commercial capacity. We want to provide stronger support to our local partners, from the design phase to the operation of the plants.

Leadership with sector knowledge and international vision
The person who will lead this new phase is no stranger to us. Alberto Hernández Minguito, an agricultural engineer with more than 25 years of international experience in the sector, will take over the general management of Bianna France.
His experience in Europe and Latin America, together with his in-depth knowledge of the French market – where he has led projects in both construction and operation of waste facilities – make him the ideal profile for this challenge. Until his incorporation, Alberto held the position of Treatment Manager for Urbaser Environnement in France.
His arrival has a clear objective: to lead Bianna France‘s expansion in France, to build a strong technical and commercial team, and to strengthen the link with our clients through a local, committed and highly specialised approach.
Projects that drive us forward
France has been, and remains, a key territory in our strategy. Some recent projects that illustrate our capacity and commitment in the country are:
Centre de tri OEKOTRI – Saint-Thibéry (Oekomed project).
With a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year, this selective waste sorting plant – inaugurated in 2023 – is a benchmark in the Hérault region. Bianna has participated in its development by providing technologies for mechanical separation, optical sorting and packaging of recyclable materials. A project worth more than €50 million that boosts the local circular economy.
JOUBERT project – Saint Jean d’Angely
This project is currently in the delivery phase and reflects Bianna’s ability to offer tailor-made energy recovery solutions. It is a new 9.3 MW thermal oil boiler fuelled by wood waste from the JOUBERT group’s plant, specialised in the manufacture of plywood. An installation designed to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Clear strategy, solid future
This new phase in France is part of a strategy based on four pillars:
- Adapting our solutions to the local market, with modular, sustainable and innovative technologies.
- Consolidating customer relations through a closer presence and personalised technical support.
- Promote energy recovery plants with CSR, transforming waste into useful energy.
- Offer a professional, agile and local service, with our own team and reinforced capabilities.
Next stop: Pollutec 2025
We want to share this new stage with the entire ecosystem of the sector. That is why we will be present at the next edition of Pollutec (Lyon, 7-10 October 2025), the great European meeting of environmental solutions. We will have a location in line with the importance of the occasion;
Hall 2 Stand 08.
We will have our sales team led by Alberto Hernández Minguito, André Gomes, Stephane Fosse and Jacques Vie.
It will be an excellent opportunity to dialogue, share experiences and explore new synergies with public and private operators and all the actors in the sector.
