Bianna x Groupe Joubert (Joubert Plywood)
Project details for Groupe Joubert (Joubert Plywood)
As part of its firm commitment to decarbonisation and sustainability, Groupe Joubert awarded Sugimat (a company specialising in thermodynamics and part of Bianna) the design, manufacture and installation of a new biomass thermal plant. The facility is designed to be energy self-sufficient for the factory’s plywood drying and pressing lines. By using the wood by-products generated by its industrial activity, Joubert consolidates a perfect circular economy model, increasing efficiency and minimising the use of fossil fuels.
- Thermal power generated 9.3 MW
- Fuel type (TVS) Solid biomass
- Recovery Energy recovery (high-efficiency biomass combustion to generate industrial process heat)
