Project details for Brooke Energy
Brooke Energy acquired a redundant biomass facility in Exeter to convert it into an advanced Small Waste Incineration Plant (SWIP). The project stands out for integrating Bianna’s high-efficiency, high-reliability technologies for the energy recovery of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF). This new small-scale thermal and electrical cogeneration system makes it possible to process the RDF collected by local operators, preventing it from ending up in landfill while ensuring compliance with the UK’s strictest environmental emissions standards.
- Thermal power generated 10 MW
- Electrical power generated 2.4 MW
- Treatment capacity 24,000 tonnes per year
- Fuel type (TVS) Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF)
- Recovery Energy recovery (Energy-from-Waste / CHP cogeneration).
