A testament to our track record and the reason behind our certification

At Bianna, we have reached a significant milestone in our history: we have officially obtained B Corp certification. For our organization, achieving this certification does not represent a change in direction or the adoption of a new positioning strategy; on the contrary, we see it as the recognition and external validation of a methodological approach and a purpose that we have been applying for years in the waste treatment and recovery sector.

We decided to undertake this rigorous audit process and certify the group under the B Corp standard for one fundamental reason: we believe that the operational sustainability of a company like ours must be measured against global, objective, and auditable metrics. In a complex and strictly regulated industrial sector, we consider it essential to offer our customers, partners, and investors complete assurance that our internal processes and technologies are aligned with the highest standards of transparency, legal accountability, and social and environmental performance.

Integrating the three ESG pillars into our business model

We have achieved B Corp certification following several evaluations and technical analyses. This rigorous process was designed to verify and audit how our adherence to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria is tangibly reflected in our corporate performance, encompassing both our day-to-day operations and the solutions we bring to market:

Environmental

This pillar is at the heart of our engineering and production activities, as we assess how our solutions impact the planet as well as our internal operations.

Through our Mechanical-Biological Treatment (MBT) and ThermoValue Solutions (TVS) divisions, we design solutions aimed at treating waste and maximizing its conversion into resources on a global scale. However, our commitment starts at home: we apply the same high standards to our own production processes.

We are constantly working to monitor our carbon footprint, implement processes that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and optimize energy efficiency at all our production facilities.

Social

We view corporate social responsibility as the rigorous management of our relationships with our employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where we operate. Internally, we uphold human rights and ensure fair working conditions, prioritizing the health, safety, and overall well-being of our employees through job security and ongoing training.

Externally, this commitment translates into a close connection with our immediate social environment, as we actively collaborate on meaningful and impactful projects with leading organizations such as the foundation Sant Joan de Déu and Oncolliga.

Furthermore, this responsibility is directly passed on to our customers: at our plants, we provide technical training to local operators, transferring specialized knowledge and creating high-value industrial jobs with long-term benefits.
