BP Bottle Piercer
The Bottle Piercer is essential equipment in light packaging sorting plants. Its main purpose is to prevent containers from retaining air inside by making precise cuts in PET bottles of different sizes (from 0.25 to 5 litres). This eliminates rebound and issues during baling, ensuring dense, stable, and perfect bales.
Essential equipment to increase baling efficiency in any sorting and material recovery process in sorting plants.
Higher bale density
By removing the air, balers can compact the material much more.
Bale stability
Prevents PET bales from “swelling” or coming apart due to the pressure of trapped air.
Versatility
The distance between the shafts is adjustable (from 270 to 300 mm) to adapt to the incoming flow.
Low maintenance
Robust equipment with standard components from leading brands.
Efficiency
High blade density (up to 120 in the large model) to ensure no container remains unperforated.
This compact, highly efficient unit consists of a receiving hopper and a central block made up of two independent, parallel shafts fitted with perforating blades. Each shaft has its own blade-holder supports and is driven by a direct gearmotor (from leading brands such as SEW), supported by a torque arm.
Its smart design allows it to be easily installed beneath manual sorting hoppers or at the discharge of automatic separation equipment, flexibly adapting to variations in the plant’s incoming flow.

Especificaciones técnicas
PET material input
The bottles enter through the upper hopper.
Perforating blades
Perforating blades per shaft. A total of 60 blades designed to pierce PET bottles and allow for correct bale pressing.
Gear motor
Two independent motors that drive their shafts with the blades allow for operation at different speeds to achieve effective perforation.
Material discharge
The already perforated bottles fall by gravity through the bottom, ready to be sent to the press.

Operation
Precision that unlocks the value of every bottle
Bottles fall by gravity through the hopper onto the two blade shafts. The secret to its high effectiveness lies in the speed difference: each shaft is driven independently, causing one shaft to rotate faster than the other (for example, 59 rpm versus 29 rpm). Thanks to this difference in speed, one shaft “grips” and holds the bottle while the other performs the cut and perforates it, releasing the air trapped inside. Once perforated, the container falls into the lower storage area.
