Type of waste entering the plant

This flow consists mainly of plant-based waste from forestry and agricultural activities. It is a highly heterogeneous material that includes raw wood, sawmill residues, and agro-industrial by-products with great calorific potential. The waste requires specific crushing and classification treatment to be transformed into solid biofuels such as wood chips or pellets.

Given its organic and renewable nature, this material is key to replacing fossil fuels in thermal and electrical generation processes. In addition, certain fractions can be recovered as raw material for the manufacture of wood-derived products or for green chemistry.

Operation

Clean and continuous flow for quality energy

The conditioning process in a Biomass plant requires robust machinery to ensure a constant and impurity-free flow:

  • Reception and Dosing: bulk material is introduced into the plant, typically using wheel loaders, towards powerful Feeders or Conveyors of
  • Chains (PB Series): designed to withstand impact and dose the material continuously.
  • Particle Size Screening: the flow passes through screening systems (such as Trommels or disc screens) that separate the fine fraction (soil and sand) and sort the material into the optimal size required for commercial biomass.
  • Impurity Removal: metallic and heavy elements are extracted using magnetic separators and, if necessary, aerodynamic equipment.
  • Transport and Accumulation: robust and armored belt conveyors channel the clean and classified biomass to silos, storage bunkers, or directly to the feed of thermal energy generation plants
